Grocery Stores

Lidl, Aldi, Plus - All three of these are cut price super markets.  You may not find everything on your grocery list at these stores but what you do find will be at rock bottom prices.  There are many branches of all three stores all over Dresden - too many to mention here.  Where ever you live, you are not too far from one of these stores.

Konsum - A good grocery store which carries a wide range of items.  The quality and the selection varies based on the location.  The one in Schillerplatz has everything including many international food items.

MarktKauf - Groceries, household goods, kitchen supplies, bikes, toys, electronics all under one roof.  The grocery store is very big, has a wide selection of foods and the prices are very reasonable.

Karstadt Grocery Store - This gourmet grocery store, located in the basement of the Karstadt department store, has high quality groceries.

El Mercadito - This small grocery store specializes in Latin American foods.  They sell homemade frozen tortillas here!

Weekly Outdoor Markets - You can find a schedule of the weekly outdoor markets where you can find fresh fruits, veggies, meats, cheeses and baked goods at Landeshauptstadt Dresden web site. The largest of these markets takes place every Friday across from the Georg-Arnold Swimming Pool.
